first ever Peahi Challenge
With all the, “Most giant El Nino ever” hype surrounding this years 2015 Hawaii big wave winter season, it only makes sense that the first ever Peahi Challenge is scheduled and set to run today, Sunday December 6. Bright eyed and bushy tailed with an early 7:30am (local time) start, the world will be treated to a Live feed of the entire event. As far as I understand, rain or shine, the event must go on. This event will be hosting some of the worlds most best and most fearless watermen. They will not only be competing against each other for the honor to stand as number one at the end of the day, but what should be more intriguing to the audience, is the fact that this wave Peahi (aka Jaws) could very well be the most powerful and horrifically scary surfing waves known to mankind. So the challenge really comes down to the individual competitor battling against mother nature in her rawest, gnarliest form.

This will be the first ever Peahi Challenge and if all goes well, this could be the most exhilarating and stupendously entertaining competitions that the world has ever laid their eyes upon. FYI – The general public will not be able to watch from the cliffs of Peahi. It will be off limits. So you’re better off watching from your t.v. or your computer. Another interesting bit of information came from last nights meeting when it was made known that this was a “Big Wave” event, and that the outside part of the wave would be scoring higher points rather then just going for the inside barrel. You can tell adrenalin and emotions are starting to take there course as you can see by the connecting link and how one of Jaws’s favorite sons, Albee Layer , loses his composer at last nights competitors meeting and nonchalantly voices his opinion.
