Oh my goodness, Tamayo, Emilia and the crew were wonderful and they teach such Great surf lessons. I am not a particularly coordinated person, but they were talented enough teachers to make it happen for both my husband and me. I’m sure you could find cheaper lessons, but you get what you pay for sometimes- certainly true in this case. They discussed safety at length and found an appropriate place for us to get our start without a lot of people (but with consistently good waves for beginning surfers like us). They also gave excellent feedback about what we needed to do differently, and they did a lot of the pre-surf work for us so we wouldn’t get exhausted before we even managed to get up. They were worth every penny, honestly, and I’d gladly pay them again if we lived on Oahu.
